About the guest:
In the fall of 2021, Anastasia created WCOIN with the intention of building the network into a grassroots movement of women and allies who are enthusiastic about the potential of Web3 and committed to take action to spark inclusive and just Web3 policies. She is adamant about dispelling myths about cryptocurrencies, such as the claim that all bitcoin mining is environmentally detrimental (it isn't!) and the notion that all investors are crypto bros who make unwise investments.
In addition to her work with WCOIN, Anastasia was Core Scientific's Head of Stakeholder Engagement and Director of Public Policy. Core Scientific is a socially responsible and carbon-neutral bitcoin mining company. Also, Anastasia assisted in the establishment of Dolci Gelati, an artisan, natural, and genuine Italian gelato company run by her family. She has worked on both Hillary and Biden's campaigns in the past, in addition to WeWork, Booz Allen, the UN Foundation, and the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.
